Fender covers, also known as flaps or shields, are an integral part of port machinery. They are primarily used to protect Port Equipment from bad weather, flying rocks, dust and other environmental factors.

Fender covers protect critical components of port equipment from corrosion and damage. Given the often harsh port environment, fender covers need to be made of durable materials. While aerodynamics are not a major consideration for port equipment, fender covers still need to be designed to reduce wind resistance to improve the stability and energy efficiency of the equipment. Fender covers are designed for easy maintenance and replacement to minimize downtime and repair costs, which is critical for port equipment that typically requires continuous operation.

CTT's manufacturing technology improves the performance and appearance of the fender cover plate through precision machining and surface treatment. The process may include precision milling, grinding and polishing to ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the gunwale is protected. In addition, special coating or heat treatment processes are involved to enhance the corrosion and wear resistance of the fender cover plate.
